The Raynham Center Water District is currently in the process of replacing old outdated water meters that use outdated technology with new remote read meters.
If you have received a door notice indicating that your meter needs to be either replaced or repaired, please call the Water District office at 508-824-0520 at your earliest convenience to schedule an appointment to make the needed changes.
Please note for residential customers there is no charge repairs or replacements of the water meter.
Meter Change appointments are scheduled for Monday thru Thursday from 8am until 3pm. The meter process usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
The property owner needs to be on premises for the duration of the appointment. The property owner will need to provide a clear and unrestricted access to the water line where it comes into the building and meter, whether located in the basement or other location.
If a meter cannot be read it is possible that the district could potentially overestimate your bill and, in some cases, such as having an unknown leak on your premises could result in the district underestimating your bill.
